*ITHACA NID GRADE 4E SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 436762. Cal. 12 ga. 32″ bbls with dual ivory sighting beads. FULL/FULL. 2-3/4″ chambers with dbl triggers and ejectors. Mounted with fancy American walnut and checkered straight grip stock. 14-1/4″ to hard rubber buttplate and checkered beaver tail fore end. Receiver is engraved in standard grade 4 pattern with Ithaca Gun Co. and a duck on left side, and Ithaca, N.Y. and a pheasant on right side and is a cocking indicator model. Bore diameter: left -.730, right -.731. Bore restrictions: left -.038, right -.033. Wall thickness: left -.031, right -.0175. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 7lbs 15oz. The abnormally thin wall thickness of right bbl is approx. 12″ back from muzzle and with close inspection, there is evidence of a dent having been removed and the thickness of the bbl is thinned at the extreme outside of this bbl. This is a very professional job and quite easy to miss. CONDITION: Extremely fine as a factory restoration. Bbls retain nearly all their factory quality restored blue with slight blemish about 6″ from muzzle on left bbl and slight sharp edge wear. Receiver retains 95% factory quality restored case coloring with thinning across the belly of the receiver. Stocks are solid with only couple very minor nicks and looks to be factory new. Mechanics are crisp and bores are shiny to include the above-mentioned raised dent in the right bbl. 4-33244 BDT53 (3,000-4,000)
