PILLAR AND SCROLL SHELF CLOCK BY ELI & SAMUEL TERRY. Original back label. Delicate bracket base with shaped skirt, thin turned posts with a scroll top having three brass finials. Original works and case but there has been major restoration involving the base and top crest. Wooden works appear to be consistent and original to the case. Two weights present. Key and pendulum present. Original wood dial with color touchup in corners. Door fitted with a bottom reverse paneled scene of large house and stairway to water and boat which may be a replacement. PROVENANCE: The J. Hollis Wyman Estate, Milbridge, Maine (State Senator and Wild Blueberry King). SIZE: 31-1/4” h x 17-1/2” x 4-1/2”. CONDITION: As stated above. There are also two small pieces of molding missing and small crack with chip in dial. Unknown working order, generally intact. 9-29336 (500-1000)
