*OUTSTANDING ITHACA NID 4E GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 448168. Cal. 16 ga. 28″ Best Fluid Steel bbls, matted tapered rib, with single gold sighting bead. MOD/FULL choke, 2-9/16″ chambers, with ejectors, and double triggers. This indicator model receiver is engraved in standard grade 4 style with open floral and stippled background, “Ithaca Gun Co.” and flying duck on left side, open floral pattern across bottom, and “Ithaca, N.Y.” with standing pheasant on right side. Mounted with fancy walnut, checkered splinter forend with black tip insert, Fleur De Lis checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap, 14-1/8″ to serrated hard rubber butt plate. There is a blank initial shield in toe line. Bore diameter: left -.665, right -.665. Bore restrictions: left -.027, right -.013. Wall thickness: left -.027, right -.028. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs 12 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% of the fine orig blue. Receiver carries 95-98% orig case coloring with just some slight thinning through the carrying area. Wood is sound with sharp checkering and just a few usual light handling marks, and retains virtually all of it’s fine hand rubbed restored finish. There is a slight hairline crack off of left rear upper tang. Forend is sound with one minor chip, sharp checkering, and most of it’s orig finish.
