MANSFIELD & LAMB MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SWORD. 35” dbl fuller blade marked “MANSFIELD / & / LAMB / FORRESTDALE. R.I.” in an oval on the left ricasso and “U.S. / C.E.W / 1864” on the right. Iron scabbard with brazed lap on the bottom. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent with bright blade having only a few minor marks. Scabbard has two small dents at the tip, otherwise fine. The guard and pommel have a mellow patina, the grip leather shows some minor chipping but is still solid. 4-48624 FS115 (Lowry Estate) (500-1,000)
