*RARE VENT RIB ITHACA NID 5E GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 457551. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ vent rib Best Fluid Steel bbls with dual ivory sighting beads. 2-3/4″ chambers. IMP.MOD/FULL ejectors and single selective trigger. Last style receiver without indicators is engraved a usual bold foliate pattern with stippled background with gold pheasant on left side, gold woodcock on right side, spread winged eagle with three arrows clutched in talons, “Made in U.S.A” on bottom, and “Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca, N.Y.” on trigger plate. Mounted with fancy dark streak American walnut. Full checkered beavertail forend, with black tip insert. Fleur De Lis checkered pistol grip, with hard rubber grip cap, and checkered raised side panel 13-7/8″ to Ithaca sunburst recoil pad. Toe line has gold initial shield with initials “B.C.” Bore diameter: left -.616, right -.617. Bore restrictions: left -.023, right -.018. Wall thickness: left -.036, right -.031. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″ . Drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs 5 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 95-98% orig blue with some minor handling marks, and sharp edge wear on rib. There is a small capital “C” stamped on breech end on top of each bbl. Receiver has 80-85% orig fading case colors that are strong in protected areas. The carrying area on bottom of receiver has traces of colors mixed with silvery-brown patina. Trigger guard has 80-85% orig blue mixed with fine light brown patina. Stocks are solid with fine crisp checkering and a professional hand rubbed oil finish. Mechanics are crisp, and bores are shiny.
