HENRY BEDIGIE PAINTING. Outstanding oil on board by famed Handel lamp artist Henry Bedigie depicts a lighthouse on a rocky point with a ship sailing off the coast and birds flying above. Also shows ocean waves crashing against the shore. The painting is titled in the lower left corner “Coast of Maine” and signed in lower right corner “Bedigie”. The back of the frame has a glass covering the back of painting showing an original paper label with block print “H. BEDIGIE, 110 HOBART ST., MERIDEN, CONN.” with handwritten title “Along Maine Coast”. Painting is housed in ornate gold-leaf wood and gesso frame with inner linen liner.
