*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LIGHTWEIGHT TAKE DOWN RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 134853. Beautiful hunting rifle with 22” tapered rnd bbl, half magazine, pedestal mounted ivory bead hunting front sight and flat top rear sight. The wood is uncheckered straight grain American walnut with straight stock and Winchester embossed hard rubber shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, retaining virtually all of its fine bright original factory finish to both metal and wood. May have been fired, but does not appear so. Stock has a few tiny mars in the varnish, otherwise is new. Lever retains about all of its case colors, brilliant on the sides and sheltered areas, fading on the outer edges. Hammer retains virtually all of its brilliant case colors. Appears to have factory grease still inside. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. 4-52923 JR398 (6,000-10,000)
