RARE AMERICAN RAILWAY EXPRESS COMPANY WOOL HORSE BLANKET. Coarse yellow wool blanket, 8′ x 7’8″ with four wide red stripes at each end. Marked on each end, “AM. R’Y. EX. CO.” in red. It has a leather rosette with short belt on one side and a rosette with a buckle on the other side for fastening around a horse’s neck. It has two other leather sewn on devices, the use for which is not clear. There is also the number “6-19”. The ends are bound and stitched. CONDITION: Extremely fine, appears unused. Strong bright colors with a scattered spot or two of mothing. Just what your horse needs on a cold winter’s night. 4-57679 JR484 (2,500-4,000)
