ROSE MODEL 1812 CAVALRY SABER. 34” sharply curved blade with no fuller marked “W.ROSE” on the back and “V / W” on the right side. The grip is covered with leather but has no wire wrapping. Matching iron scabbard is lap brazed on the left side. CONDITION: Very good, smooth gray patina to the blade with a few rubs and some light rust stains. The grip has some minor chipping to the leather covering. The balance of the hilt and the scabbard have moderate pitting overall. 4-48563 FS129 (Lowry Estate) (1,000-1,500)
