*OUTSTANDING AH FOX CE GRADE 2-BBL SET. SN 202301. Cal. 20 ga. Both bbls 28″ Chromox fluid compressed steel numbered 1 & 2 on forend lug. Tapered matted rib with dual ivory sighting beads. 2-3/4″ chambers with ejectors. Set one: FULL/FULL. Set two: MOD./FULL. Receiver is engraved in standard C pattern with foliate arabesque scroll with two quail and “Ansley H. Fox” on left side. Pointing setter in circle on bottom, and two woodcock and “Ansley H. Fox on right side.” Mounted with nicely figured straight grain American walnut, checkered splinter forend with black tin insert, checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap, and checkered raised side panels 14-1/4″ to hard rubber butt plate. Set one: Bore diameter: left -.619, right -.619. Bore restrictions: left -.030, right -.025. Wall thickness: left -.034, right -.039. Drop at heel: 1-3/4″. Drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 5 lbs 14 oz. Set two: Bore diameter: left -.619, right -.619. Bore restrictions: left -.026, right -.014. Wall thickness: left -.023, right -.027. Drop at heel: 1-3/4″. Drop at comb: 1-1/4″ . Weight: 6 lbs. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Both sets of bbls retain 98-99% of orig blue with just some very minor muzzle wear and maybe a couple of light handling marks. Receiver has full coverage, vivid and bright case coloring with only the slightest amount of wear at the balance point, and some fading on forend iron. Stocks are solid with only a few minor handling marks and a blank gold initial oval in toe line. Finish appears to be orig with wear only at the carrying point of forend. Forend has two very minor hairline grain cracks running from forend metal forward to the checkering. Mechanics are crisp, bores are shiny as gun shows little to no use.
