HANDEL OAK LEAF TABLE LAMP. Six sided bent panel shade has a filigree overlay decoration of oak leaves. This oak leaf decoration is unusual because it is obverse painted as well. The bent panels have an unusual coloration of pink, mauve and butterscotch. Shade is signed on the fitter ring “Handel Lamps” and “Pat’d No 979004”. Shade is supported by a two socket base of simple Art Nouveau styling that is signed with a felt label on the underside “Handel Lamps”. Lamp is complete with original acorn pulls. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Overall 20″ t. PROVENANCE: Dr. Irving Paul Collection. CONDITION: Shade is good with several minor breaks to interior metal support which do not compromise the structure of the shade as well as a straw mark on the interior of one panel.
