*EXTREMELY RARE A.H. FOX HE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 202169. Cal. 20ga. 30″ chromox fluid compressed steel. 2-3/4″ chambers, choked FULL/FULL with tapered concave matted rib, sgl silver sighting bead, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors, and dbl triggers. The receiver is lightly border engraved with “Ansley H. Fox” engraved in an arcing manner on each side. Mounted with straight grain American walnut with checkered splinter fore end and checkered semi-pistol grip stock, 14″ over a Hawkins recoil pad and a 1/4″ matching black spacer. These heavy frame HE 20 gauges are one of the scarcest grades built by the Ansley H. Fox company and are highly sought after by Fox collectors. Bore diameter: left -.626, right -.623. Bore restrictions: left -.034, right -.030. Wall thickness: left -.038, right -.039. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7lbs. 11oz. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 85% orig blue with some thinning over the chamber area and numerous light scratches and storage blemishes. Receiver has 75% orig case coloring with bottom being mostly silver but strong on sides and across the top. Trigger guard shows wear through pistol grip area and turning a brown patina. Stock is solid with a few minor nicks and some flaking of the added finish. Fore end appears to have orig finish. Mechanics are crisp and bores are shiny. 4-33659 BDT61 (16,500-25,000)
