*AH FOX XE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 201542. Cal. 20ga. 26″ chromox fluid compressed steel bbls. 2-1/2″ chambers and choked IMP. CYL/MOD and tapered concave matted rib with dual ivory beads, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors, and sgl trigger. Rebated receiver is beautifully engraved in the standard X pattern with 2 quail on left side, fox on bottom, and 2 ducks on right, all surrounded in leafy vine pattern. Mounted with nicely figured American walnut with black insert, checkered splinter fore end, and checkered round knob semi-pistol grip stock with checkered raised side panels and 14″ over vented Pachmayr recoil pad. Bore diameter: left -.620, right -.620. Bore restrictions: left -.020, right -.012. Wall thickness: left -.022, right -.019. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 5lbs. 12oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 95% or better orig blue with just a few minor nicks and scratches. Receiver has 70% orig case coloring with bottom and part of the sides turning to a silver, hardening colour with very strong colors across the top and in protected areas. The case color trigger guard shows only traces of color on the outside and showing mostly a silver hardening finish. Stock is solid with only a few minor hunting marks and a rough spot at a knot in right side. Fore end is nice and the checkering on both are reasonably sharp and clean.
