RARE ROBY MODEL 1860 CAVALRY OFFICER’S SWORD. 33-3/4” dbl fuller blade is etched on both sides with “C. Roby. &. Co. / W. Chlemsford. / Mass.” on the left side and “IRON PROOF” on the spine. Branches of the guard are cast with a leaf design. Iron scabbard has brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade has been polished but much pitting remains. Scabbard is also deeply pitted.
