FRANK A. BARNEY (American, 1862-1954) COLLECTION OF 15 PAINTINGS. A wonderful opportunity to purchase 15 oil on board paintings by a well listed American artist. Barney studied with William Merritt Post and has exhibited in many forums across New York State. Collection includes eight unframed 12″ x 16″ oil on board landscapes of which four are signed and four are unsigned. Three have titles Richford, Morehouse Lake and Outlet Morehouse Lake. All New York State scenes. 9″ x 12″ oil on board titled “Old Apple Trees, Marcellas Farm”. Scene is signed lower right and shows a blossoming apple orchard with figure and cow in a spring landscape. Housed in a modern gilt molded wood frame. 9″ x 11-1/4″ oil on board signed and unframed landscape with trees, path and wildflowers, titled “Marcellas”. Unsigned 10″ x 8 framed summer landscape with river, hill and trees. 7″ x 9″ framed double sided oil on board. One side signed with still life, other side unsigned with landscape with trees and hill. 6-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ double sided landscape, unsigned. 6″ x 9″ oil on board, unsigned showing a fall harvest scene with haystacks, pumpkins, wall and field. 5-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ unsigned, unframed oil on board landscape with water, trees and field. A letter indicating the these fifteen paintings were purchased from the individual who purchased them directly from relatives of the artist accompanies paintings. SIZE: As noted above.
