*UNUSUAL LC SMITH “WILD FOWL” MARKED SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 198511. Cal. 12ga. 32″ bbls with matted tapered rib, dual ivory sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL/FULL choked, dbl triggers and extractors. Right bbl is marked “LC Field grade”; left bbl is marked “Hunter Arms Co. Inc. M’f”R’S Fulton, NY USA” and bbl lug marked “Wild Fowl.” Mounted with straight grain American walnut with checkered splinter fore end, checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap, 13-7/8″ over brown Pachmayr decelerator pad. Bore diameter: left -.725, right -.726. Bore restrictions: left -.036, right -.035. Wall thickness: left -.037, right -.033. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight:7lbs 15oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 95-98% of an extremely fine professional restored rust blue finish. There are only a few very minor light handling marks and a slightly thinning area about 6″ forward of chambers. Receiver has about 80-85% thinning orig case coloring that is stronger and more vivid in the protected areas. Trigger guard retains nearly all of a fine restored blue finish. Stock is solid with just a slight hairline crack behind each lockplate and only a few minor handling marks in its professionally restored oil finish. Mechanics are crisp and bores are bright except for a couple small pits midway in the left bbl. 4-33252 BDT66 (1,250-1,750)
