UNMARKED WAR OF 1812 CAVALRY SABER W/IVORY GRIP. 35-5/8” dbl fuller blade. Silver guard is built in two pieces with the knuckle bow dovetailed to the crossguard. Ivory grip has 25 groves cut around the circumference. Leather sheath has silver mounts. CONDITION: Blade has mostly gray patina with spots of rust stain and very light pitting. All silver parts are tarnished dark. Grip has two long cracks that are still solid and a few chips at the pommel. Leather has some surface cracks but no bends. Mounts have numerous dents especially on the tip. 4-48557 FS158 (Lowry Estate) (1,200-1,800)
