WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE BOWL. Outstanding Garden of Paradise (Variation I) Fairyland Lustre bowl has daylight lustre. The arch has disappeared but the black pillar remains against a MOP sky. Two different idol figures appear in violet and the dancing beetle faces the opposite way. The green “Cake” tree has acquired a companion tree with a curvaceous black trunk and copper-brown foliage. Outside pattern is Flight of Birds which is printed in gold outline on a very dark green and blue lustre ground which encircles the entire outside. Under rim and foot are decorated with gold pebble and grass border. Signed on the underside “Wedgwood England Z4968”. SIZE: 11” dia. CONDITION: A few very tiny scratches to interior of bowl, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-62045 (4,000-6,000)
