I.W. HARPER WHISKEY ADVERTISING SIGN. Lovely summer’s day illustration by Crompton of a newlywed couple making their reception getaway in a bright red open touring car. The sign is titled on the frame “The Parting Gift” which would refer to the bottle of Harper Whiskey being handed to the groom from the celebratory group of wellwishers. Textured chromolithograph on canvas from the Bernheim Distilling Co., copyright 1912. SIZE: 44-1/2″ w x 32-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Good to very good with overall craquelature to the surface and two small canvas tears. The frame liner has been repainted with some paint loss at bottom left corner. 1-8232 PF (700-900)
