H.T.P. (American, 19th Century) SUMMER HOUSE ON THE HUDSON. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows a large mansion with manicured lawn next to a river with a landing having a building and dock with side wheeler beside. A family stands on the lawn overlooking the river and two children play next to a dirt road which has a four wheel fancy carriage with two white horses traveling by. Signed lower right “HTP”. Housed in a fine period gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 15” x 21-1/4”. CONDITION: Relined, spot inpainting. Very good. 9-74540 MD (1,500-2,500)
