FREDERICK CROWNINGSFIELD (American, 1845-1918) PAIR OF SUMMER AND FALL LANDSCAPES. Oil on wood panel scene shows rock ledges surrounded by trees, grasses and bushes. One signed lower left with monogram “FC”. Other is unsigned. Housed in wonderful, modern gesso decorated gilt frames with gilt liners both having wood gilt name plaques. . SIZE: Signed example is 13-3/4″ x 18″. Unsigned example is 13-1/2″ x 20″. CONDITION: Signed example has 6″ filled thin crack with inpainting. Otherwise very good.
