WONDERFUL PAINT-DECORATED LARGE COLORFUL PATRIOTIC SHIELD. This large metal (tin?) shield with molded stripes features bold blue, red, and white paint with gold highlights. Back of the shield with various round hanging hinged loops, which probably were holders for various banners or flags when used for patriotic rallies. SIZE: 29” h x approximately 26-1/4” w. CONDITION: The paint shows much age and craquelure, but is not the original surface. 9-29479 (850-1250)
