ROBY MODEL 1850 FOOT OFFICERS SWORD. Imported 32” dbl fuller blade is etched on both sides with “C.Roby & Co / W. Chelmsford / Mass” on the left side above the ricasso “IRONPROOF” on the back. Complete with leather scabbard and brass fittings. CONDITION: Blade has been cleaned, softening the edges on the etching, there are also some nicks and pitting, heavy around the throat. The hilt is fine, the scabbard is oil soaked and chipped with drag heavily worn, but has no major faults. 4-48568 X30 (Lowry Estate) (800-1,200)
