JOAQUIM J. MARISTANY (American, 20th Century) PORTRAIT OF THE STEAMSHIP “BELFAST”. Large oil on canvas scene shows the multi-deck steamship “Belfast” sailing left to right in off the coast of Maine. Several other boats are seen all under a blue and white cloud sky. The Belfast was built at Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine in 1909 by the Eastern Steamship Lines, Inc, Boston to Bangor Line. Signed lower left “J J Maristany”. Housed in a modern gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 33-3/4” h x 41-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-73747 (500-1,000)
