DANIEL CHARLES GROSE (American, 1838-1900) FISH ON. Good oil on canvas New England scene shows a fisherman with long fly rod with tight line with fish on. He stands in a large pool below waterfall with tree covered ledges. Signed lower left “DC Grose, Boston” and dated “1866”. Housed in a fine gilt wood frame with black liner having a gilt wood artist plaque. SIZE: 12″ x 18″. CONDITION: Some minor inpainting, wax relining, very good. 9-92682 (1,200-1,800)
