RARE ALBUMEN PRINT OF GERONIMO TOGETHER WITH OTHER APACHE WARRIORS. The image, stamped in lower left corner, “COPYRIGHT 1886 BY C. S. FLY TOMBSTONE, ARIZ.” Image features Geronimo brandishing a musket together with three other apache warriors, two of which are with Winchester Repeaters. SIZE: 7-6/8” h x 4-7/8” w. The Albumen print is laid down on board approximately 8-1/2”h x 5-1/4”w. The image was taken before Geronimo originally surrendered (for the first time) to General Cook on March 27, 1886, in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. CONDITION: The image has light scratching and wear to the surface; slightly bowed, otherwise fine. A rare and wonderful image of one of the most famous and historic of all Indian warriors of the Wild West. 4-57675 (6,000-12,000)
