ATTRIBUTED TO CLEMENT DREW (American, 1806-1889) SHIP SAILING OFF MINOTS LIGHT. Oil on canvas scene shows a three-mast ship in heavy seas passing Minots Light which has huge waves crashing into it. Light and dark sky, unframed. A typical scene painted many timed by this artist. Frost & Adams, Boston label affixed to stretcher. SIZE: 20” x 30”. CONDITION: Relined, two areas of inpainting in sky. Some craquelure and chipping to edges which would be hidden by a frame. 9-29091 (1000-3000)
