FEDERAL MAHOGANY TIP TOP CANDLE STAND. The one board top being of block serpentine form raised on a bold urn turned standard with three arch carved legs ending in pointed and padded slipper feet. Attributed to the shop of Joseph Short, Newbury, Massachusetts. Circa 1800. SIZE: 28-1/4” x top 21” x 19-1/2”. CONDITION: An old repair to a split in the top, otherwise very good. 9-29236 (1000-1500)
