FINE AMES PRESENTATION GRADE SWORD.

FINE AMES PRESENTATION GRADE SWORD. 31” single fuller blade etched on both sides. Left side is etched “AMES MFG CO / CHICOPEE / MASS.” on the left ricasso. Cross guard is made up of two eagles back to back. Pommel is another eagle. Grip is a hexagonal and made of engraved silver. Metal scabbard is gold plated including the fancy mountings. CONDITION: Blade is bright with some minor nicks, scabbard shows wear at the top and between the mounts. Top quillian is bent downwards, grip has a dark tarnish. There is slight loss to the gilt on the eagles, chains are fine. 4-48598 FS89 (Lowry Estate) (2,000-3,000)
