RARE GOLD MINING HALF PLATE AMBROTYPE. The ambrotype depicts six miners and a long sluice crossing a ravine in two directions. Each miner having an implement in hand and either standing on the sluice or nearby. Housed in what appears to be its original pressed leather decorated case which is “as is”. SIZE: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. CONDITION: The black painted back surface has extensive chipping, flaking and losses. The image is clear. 9-92250 (5,000-10,000)
