HOODED MERGANSER HEN DECOY BY HURLEY CONKLIN. Conklin was from Manhawkin, NJ being a well known New Jersey carver who produced stylized carved decoys. This hen merganser with slightly turned head is branded with Conklin’s initials on the underside. Features original paint. SIZE: 15” l. CONDITION: Generally excellent. Some sap has bled through onto the decoy after it was created in the breast area and the tail giving it a slightly glossy appearance in those areas. 9-29489 (400-500)
