RARE GUS WILSON TURNED HEAD BLACK DUCK. Gus Wilson of South Portland, Maine is Maine’s foremost antique decoy carver. This scarce example with raised wing carving, glass inset eyes and turned mortised in head is an unusual example of his work. SIZE: 16” l. CONDITION: Old in use repaint. Head has a crack on one side with in use nail repair and some cracks at the base of the neck. Couple of small wear spots but otherwise generally very good. 9-29486 (1500-2500)
