THOMAS HART BENTON (American, 1889-1975) CHRISTMAS CARD. Interesting print of a pencil/watercolor scene shows a carriage with a horse, automobile and figures walking to a small church along a dirt road with a large tree. Signed “Benton 44” lower right. Other side which was folded up as a Christmas Card has one panel “Merry Christmas from the Benton’s” and the other an addressed envelope front indicating a postmark of Kansas City, 1953. Housed in a carved gilt wood frame with Plexiglas back for viewing. SIZE: 10” x 16-1/4”. CONDITION: Fold mark, good. 9-71398 (1,000-2,000)
