EARLY SMALL METAL CANTEEN. Oval ball shaped container about 4-1/4” diameter, 3-1/8” thick, by 6” high, including the wooden plug. The edge is one piece iron with soldered in sides, having tab sheet metal joints. It has a concave bottom. The neck is applied with four rivets and has a large brass band at the top. CONDITION: Overall dark brown patina with some moderate rust. The plug is recent made. 4-48946 JR736 (50-100)
