RARE WIDE DOUBLE ROW CARTRIDGE/MONEY BELT. Unmarked except for catalogue numbers “97-1/2” & “5-30″ on buckle billet. Made of pebble grain russet brown leather, 39-1/4″ long x 4-5/8″ wide folded & sewn on one edge. It has riveted & sewn billets with nickeled iron rectangle buckle & 4” tongue. Tongue billet has one orig rivet & a second rivet completely through belt, probably a replacement. It has dbl rows of 44/45 caliber cartridge loops with forty-eight on top row & forty on bottom row. CONDITION: Fine. Moderately soiled with some finish loss on top edge & some light crackling on some of cartridge loops. A fine early belt that needs a good holster. 4-57619 JR553 (1,750-2,750)
