LOUIS ICART (AMERICAN/FRENCH, 1888-1950) THREE LADIES. Etching in aquatint scene shows three young ladies under a large black tree, two with fine dresses, the other bathing in shallow pool and holding black cloth around body. Pencil signed lower right and numbered “153”. On upper edge in border dated 1926, “ESTAMPER MODERNE-PARIS”. Housed in what appears to be its original incised, carved, gilt frame with decorative mat. SIZE: (sight) 21-3/4″h x 18-1/4w, (image) 20-1/4″h x 17-1/4″w. CONDITION: Some of the black has consolidated and in the tree and ground it has transferred to glass. No tears or holes.
