ORNATE BRASS KEROSENE LAMP. Rare kerosene lamp has very ornate cast brass body with open work panels featuring cupids among floral sprays. Brass feet alternate between a stylized shell design and a classic scroll design and give way to a high relief scroll and leaf design running up the body of the lamp. Top of cast body is highlighted with lion’s heads and high relief shields. Brass font has vertical ribbed design on shoulder and gives way to a duplex burner. Wick knobs are marked “Duplex PA”. Lamp is finished with a white milk glass ball shade with high relief children’s faces within a swirling leaf design. SIZE: 20″ t to top of shade. CONDITION: One burner attachment lip is missing and a few very minor chips to top and bottom rim of shade, otherwise very good. 5-71040 (1,200-1,500)
