LOT OF TWO LEATHER CARTRIDGE BOXES. Heavy leather boxes, 6 1/8” long x 3 1/4” high x 1 3/4” deep with 7 1/4” shield shaped outer flap with belt loops on back. The flaps are embossed “US” with no other markings visible. They are both stamped on the back “NO 2”. They both have had sewn in partitions removed and a wooden block inserted which has recesses for six 12ga shot shells. One box has six empty brass shot shells. CONDITION: Both are fine with crackle surface, leather that has been treated and is soft and supple. Wooden block inserts do not appear to be contemporary age with the boxes. 4-48979 JR753 (200-400)
