SLOTTER DERINGER WITH CALIFORNIA AGENT MARKING. SN 1. Cal. 47. 2-1/8” bbl (2-13/16” including breech plug). Marked “SLOTTER / & Co PHILa” on the lockplate and breech plug. Also marked “MADE FOR / R. LIDDLE & Co / SAN FRANCo CALa” on top of the bbl and “WART / STEEL” on the upper right side of the bbl. Silver mounts except German silver cap box in the butt. There is also a gold band at the rear of the breech plug. The rear of the bbl and upper left of the breech plug are engraved in sparse scrolls to match the hammer and lockplate. CONDITION: Traces of orig brown on the bbl, mostly gray patina overall. There is a crack at the rear of the bbl but the stock retains over half of the orig varnish.
