GROUP OF FIFTY GEM TINTYPES IN THEIR PATENTED FRAMES. 50 gem tintypes (postage stamp size), probably of one regiment or company because uniforms are very similar. Only discernible insignia is “11” on one kepi, enlisted eagle buttons are discernible on most photographs. Coats appear to be Veteran Reserve Corp. One photographed is purported to be Henry Shaffner who is of Illinois 123rd Regiment who was purported to have owned this box of pictures. Some photos have minor damage, most are pretty sharp and clear. Images are housed in a partial box marked “FEROTYPE PRESERVERS. HOLMES BOOTH & HAYDENS. 49 CHAMBERS ST.
