AMERICAN FLYER STANDARD GAUGE PRESIDENT’S SPECIAL SET WITH FOUR CARS. One of the most desirable of all American Flyer sets with black frames, blue teal bodies and dark teal roofs. 1) Commander locomotive #4689 has ringing bell. 2) Combination club car #4390 lettered “West Point”. Other end has American Flyer plate above window reads “President’s Special”. 3) Dining car #4393 lettered “Annapolis”. 4) Pullman #4391 lettered “Academy”. 5) Observation car #4392 lettered “Army Navy” (two hand rails missing, considerable chipping and surface rust on very end of car near door near side). CONDITION: All trim on loco appears to be present except eagle finials. Cars have some chipping and minor surface rust on frames and on pilot trucks with bodies having small number of chips and scratches. Paint is very good plus overall unless otherwise noted.
