FINE HEPPLEWHITE CARVED MAHOGANY SOFA. England, first quarter 19th century. The arched serpentine crest rail continuing to curved arms raised on incurved supports, centering the upholstered back and seat, the serpentine seat rail raised on four tapered and molded square legs, terminating in spade feet, the four rear legs slightly backswept. SIZE: 80″ l. CONDITION: Covered in a beige silk brocade, the frame with original surfaces. In need of overall cleaning, recovering, and repolishing. 9-92828 (1,800-2,200)
