RARE DR. PEPPER CARDBOARD SIGN WITH LION. An early and extremely desirable stone lithographed advertisement from Dr. Pepper, featuring the King of the Jungle to promote the “King of Beverages”. The words “Vim, Vigor and Vitality” are shown bursting forth from the bottle in an artistic reference to the refreshing qualities of the beverage. Lithographed by Kaufmann & Strauss Co., N.Y., circa 1900-1910. A great opportunity to own a sign that I’ve never seen personally offered publicly for sale before. Dr. Pepper originated at Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas in and is the oldest of the major soft drink brands in America. It was introduced to the public in 1885 with full scale production beginning in 1888 by the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company of Waco, which today houses the Dr. Pepper Museum. SIZE: 15″ w x 10″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with a light water stain and some minor margin loss at the bottom left and top right corners.
