CASED TRANTER DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER. SN 17368. Cal. 32. 3-5/8 oct bbl. Lightly engraved with scrolls and a standard English mahogany case with bullet mold, screwdriver, nipple wrench, Dixon flask, a tin of Tranter’s lubricating composition and a tin for Tranter’s lubricating bullets. The gun purportedly belonged to Colonel John Hare Powel during the Civil War, but no markings on the gun or case verify this. CONDITION: Fine overall with 80% blue on the frame and bbl, 50% on the trigger guard. They cylinder has been lightly cleaned. Grips are sharp. The case has small dents and scratches on the top and two 6” cracks on the bottom. The interior is generally good. The labels on three of the tins are fine, the fourth is about half missing. The spring on the powder flask is broken. 4-47876 FS12 (2,000-3,000)
