CASED COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER. SN 33970, all matching including wedge. Cal. .31. 5” oct bbl, in a standard Colt case with accessories. CONDITION: 70% thinning blue on bbl, mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Cylinder has been acid cleaned but retains about half of the scene. Casehardening colors are faintly visible on the loading lever. Frame and hammer have turned mostly gray with scattered light pitting. Traces of silver on the backstrap and trigger guard, stronger on the latter. The grip is oil stained at the frame but retains most of its varnish, slightly worn at the high places and with minor dents and scratches. The case is battered with splits top and bottom. Missing the side pieces of the lid. Right side of the bottom and some of the partitions are loose. The oversized flask is incorrect and has broken two of the partitions. Both the screwdrivers are broken. Three partial cap boxes are good. The brass bullet mold was made without a sprue cutter and appears to be unused. 4-47886 FS15 (700-1,100)
