FRENCH ENAMEL & SILVER VASE. Beautiful French vase has silver three-footed base, which supports a rich blue urn shaped enameled vase with a shield shaped panel enameled with a courting man and woman. Faces of man and woman appear to be transfer while clothing, trees and flowers are hand enameled. Back shield shaped panel features hand enameled doves atop a drum surrounded by music and sprays of flowers. Each panel is framed in gold with raised white enamel dots. Shoulder of vase has a gold beaded trim and vase is finished off with a silver flaring lip. Silver lip and foot are hallmarked “W” over “M” with a large “B” and then “J” over an “S”. SIZE: 7″ t. CONDITION: Some loss to beading on front panel and two interior fracture lines visible in blue enamel background, they do not break surface. 5-70205 (400-700)
