FINE COGGSHALL CARTRIDGE/MONEY BELT & DBL LOOP HOLSTER. Fine belt, 41-1/2″ long x 3-5/8″ wide, folded 1-pc leather with sewn top edge. It has sewn & riveted billets with tongue billet stamped “32”, apparently for caliber & is marked with maker’s cartouche “C.E. COGGSHALL / MILES CITY, MONT.” It has fifty 32 caliber loops & a rectangular nickeled iron buckle. Holster is a fine slim dbl loop for 5-1/2″ Colt sgl action with riveted loops & light incised & stamped decorations. It has a sewn back edge with Cheyenne plug & maker’s cartouche near top. CONDITION: Belt is very good to fine. Shows moderate to heavy wear. It is reasonably soft & pliable with some losses of finish on folded edge. It has moderate to heavy soil with one heavy scratch & several smaller ones but basically sound & usable. Buckle is a dark brown patina. Holster shows heavy wear with moderate soil & some finish loss around toe. Cartouche is worn nearly illegible & bottom loop has a slight crackle finish with some loose stitching in plug & about 1″ of re-stitching at back edge of toe, otherwise retains most of its orig finish & a fine patina. 4-57621 JR578 (2,500-4,000)
