CASED COLT BABY DRAGOON PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 31perc. Fine cased revolver 6” oct. bbl case colored frame, silver plated trigger guard and grip frame with 1-pc walnut grips. Accompanied by an original case with dark green velvet lining containing a brass “COLT’S PATENT” brass bullet mold without sprue cutter, single sided E Pluribus Unum eagle pistol flask, packet of skin cartridges, nipple wrench and metal oil bottle. SN 10872. Fine, all matching incl. wedge. CONDITION: Retains 40%-50% of a very old reblue on the bbl with scattered very fine pitting. Cylinder has fine pitting around front edge with good scene in middle and more fine pitting and light dings on the rear. Frame retains traces of original case colors and grip frame retains 60%-65% original silver plating. Grips are sound, with chips at toe and retain 60%-70% original varnish. Strong bore with moderate pitting, good mechanics. Case is fine with re-glued partitions. It has two small cracks in the lid, three small cracks in the bottom. Mold is fine, flask has several small dents and repaired seam. Cartridge packet has been opened and retaped. Oil bottle and wrench are fine. 4-46305 JR747 (2,500-4,500)
