UNUSUAL GEORGIAN MAHOGANY DEMILUNE SIDEBOARD. Circa 1790. The figured mahogany demilune top with splashguard projecting above the conforming case fitted with a string-inlaid central drawer above an arched panel flanked by a deep bottle drawer and a bank of two short drawers, raised on four square fluted tapering frontal legs ending in marlborough feet and two similar rear legs. This unusual form most likely made to fit in an alcove. SIZE: 34″ overall h. x 67″ w. x 34-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Retains old dark finish. Old brasses appear original. The gallery edge with old damages and restorations. The curved back with minor chips and imperfections. 9-92341 (3,000-5,000)
