TWO IVORY ITEMS. 19th century, Japan. Includes a sagemono with an ivory inro carved with Rahan and a dragon, signed “Kogyoku”, with an ivory carved dragon netsuke. Together with a necklace composed of ojime beads, one a mixed metalwork compass, the others of various figures and basketweave patterns. SIZE: Inro: 3-3/4″ l. Necklace: Approximately 52″ circumference. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: With undisturbed surfaces, very good. Dragon with what is believes to be intentional shaping of scales along back. 9-29298 (500-700)
